Dear Valued Customer,

We are contacting you today to address U-Boot change for TS-4900 based products from Technologic Systems.  The new version of U-Boot (dated May-18-2016) provides a bug fix and will begin shipping on new products after May 30, 2016.  This software is also available immediately on our FTP server.  None of these bug fixes are considered critical for systems already deployed.

The affected products are: TS-4900, TS-TPC-8390-4900, TS-TPC-8950-4900

The TS-4900 U-Boot is being updated to improve the FPGA programming reliability, the lockup recovery on I2C on startup, and NFS handling.  This version of U-Boot will also correctly detect and report the Rev D of the PCB for documentation purposes.

This U-Boot update is being updated on shipping product for new TS-4900 units shipped from Technologic Systems after May 30, 2016, in order to improve the FPGA programming reliability, units shipped prior to this date do not require the update.  The FPGA used on the TS-4900 was experiencing issues on a select few of the units, to prevent a reoccurrence of this issue in the future a minor change was made to how U-Boot communicates with the FPGA.

For more details on the new version of U-Boot refer to (integrates changes from Mar-08-2016 thru May-18-2016):
